The trade fair for urban and project development

Same. Same ...but different - Everything remains ...different, is the motto of this year's anniversary event. 

The polis convention has been taking place for 10 years, in a world with both familiar and new challenges. Some challenges have a direct impact on urban and project development, others require a society-wide approach - close interdisciplinary cooperation. Diversity is at the heart of the city. This requires a high degree of respect, tolerance, openness, flexibility and the willingness to continuously learn from all of us. Everything remains ... different. On the positive side, many tasks are no longer only discussed in theory, but there are now innovative solutions that have already been implemented - projects that show how cities can be designed for the future, but above all for the present. At the same time, however, new complex issues are constantly emerging whose development we cannot foresee. Maybe that's a good thing...

We look forward to welcoming you to this year's polis Convention and discussing with you why it is not necessary to reinvent the wheel in every place and why it is worth tearing down old walls completely in some places. Everything remains ... different!

The ZIA Finance Day is celebrating its fifth anniversary! In 2024, this highly regarded event will once again bring together first-class participants, keynote speakers and experts from politics, business and society to discuss current industry topics.

The event will take place at the Hotel Telegraphenamt, an impressive location with Berlin flair.

Despite the successful management of the pandemic in the property sector, the current economic situation is fuelling fears of a possible recession and the associated turbulence on the property market. Financing by banks and investments via funds are key aspects in dealing with the crisis. The ZIA event will focus on topics such as the macroeconomic situation, the impact of SFDR and EU taxonomy on investments, trends such as ELTIF and infrastructure funds as well as property financing in the face of increasing regulation and rising interest rates. At the same time, as a face-to-face event, the Finance Day offers an excellent networking opportunity.

The ZIA Finance Day brings together experts from the property and finance sector, federal politics and society and offers a platform for constructive exchange! On 14 May 2024, we will be seeking viable solutions and sustainable prospects for the industry together in lively discussions.

The event is aimed at asset managers, capital management companies, banks, asset and investment advisors as well as investors such as insurance companies, pension funds and foundations.

Making a virtue out of necessity - transformation is now!

In central logistics regions such as the Rhine-Main area, the Ruhr region and other parts of Germany, large areas are in short supply. The increasing demand is the result of e-commerce growth and the restructuring of global supply chains (reshoring and nearshoring). The restrictive land policy to combat sealing further exacerbates the shortage. This situation is expected to increase further, as the German government wants to reduce land consumption by 2030 and bring it to net zero by 2050.

This is positive for property owners, as the shortage of space increases the attractiveness of existing properties. Tenants are prepared to pay similar prices for existing properties as for new builds. The congress will answer questions on securing desired space and ensuring the success of investments in space and buildings.
